Sometime you may need to get and save the current F10 switch configuration, for me I needed to pull out all the subsets. A easy way to do this is to enable the F10 switch FTP service and then ftp and copy the switch config. First lets enable the 4810 switch FTP server with the following command ‘ftp-server username <username> password <password>’, now we will connect and copy the start up config from the switch ‘ftp 10.xx.xx.xx., enter the user name and password, so a ‘ls’ command to get a list of files, now we will copy the file to our current directory ‘get startup-config’, I hope you find this useful.
I recently updated the domain for my blog to cloud-guy.net, it is a little easier to remember.
